There are a couple of ways to determine whether or not your website has been banned by Google or has just temporarily dissapeared because of a glitch.
1. If you have the Google toolbar installed, you can check to see if the PageRank bar is now completely gray when visiting your site. If so, it is a good indication that your site has probably been banned.
2. Search their index for any instance of your url in any form. ex. site:www.yourdomain.com, site:yourdomain.com, www.yourdomain.com, yourdomain.com, yourdomain. If all instances of your url are no longer showing up in the results, then most likely you have been banned.
It is possible that it is only a glitch on their end, I have seen pages from my websites disappear and then reappear a couple days later. But, it’s best to focus on making your site Google Friendly and not use any black hat SEO tactics, Google is much to savvy for that. Focus on creating a great site that has lots of relevant content. Offer your visitors a better experience then your competition.
If you have been SEOing your website to death and itdisappears, well then it was only a matter of time until it Google caught up to you. However, if you run a honest legit site, then be patient, it will probably show up when Google updates again.
Hope that helps,
Jeff
Blog Commenting for SEO DoFollow NoFollow

I know there are a ton of SEO Blogs out there and we mostly all talk about the same things. But, since SEO and Search Engines are ever-changing it’s really beneficial to read as much as you can about the topics you are interested in. Even though you run across similar blog titles, you never know who is going to offer you a bit of advice that you may not of thought of. That being the case, it’s time to talk about blog commenting.
If you are new to SEO and you want to try blog commenting for backlinks you will quickly learn that spamming the comment body with your URL is no way to get traffic or inbound links. When most people write blogs they are looking to share their knowledge on a subject, make you aware of something or share their personal stories. So, realistically they are looking for good discussions or opinions on their posts. Most people are going to delete a comment like “great blog! www.imheretospam.com”, so make sure that you only comment when you feel compelled to add something. Only comment if it adds something interesting to the post or discussion. You will come across as genuine, professional and knowledgeable and it will make your business look good as well.
When adding your URL to a blog, most of the time you will want to use the URL field in the comment form if there is one. But if you are a trusted commenter or you can word it in a way that it’s necessary to be mentioned, then by all means include the in the comment body. Most blogs use the nofollow tag anyway, so even if you put your URL in a comment it will not help you with PageRank, but it will help you with traffic. There aren’t many dofollow blogs and forums out there, you may have to get more creative and broaden your topics in order to sound relevant. But, it is best to comment within your niche and industry, it’s not going to look that great if your commenting on puppies when your trying to promote an SEO company, etc.
Hope this help. Any questions or if you have anything INTERESTING to add
feel free to comment!
